Netscape Navigator 9.0 is a web browser developed by Netscape Communications Corporation, available for download in full install version for Windows platforms from legacy sources. Netscape 9.0 is developed using Firefox 2.0 code base and Gecko layout engine and was re-written from scratch by the in-house Netscape development team. This edition of Netscape can be used on Windows Vista also and the developer tried to regain the lost market share.

This edition is supporting all extensions and plug-ins of Firefox, while still keeping intact the compatibility of Netscape plug-ins.

New features in this version include URL self correction for common misspellings, improvement in FTP listing interface, and Quick Link Pad for viewing web pages without adding to bookmark.
