Netscape 6.0 is a web browser developed by Netscape Communications Corporation, available for download in full install version for Windows platforms from legacy sources. This version of Netscape was officially released on 2000-11-14 for public access and a brief summary of important updates and change log pertaining to this edition can be read below.

First release of Netscape after AOL's acquisition, Netscape 6.0 is developed based on premature Mozilla Internet Application Suite. AOL included their Instant messenger AIM and branding it as Netscape Instant Messenger.  

Apart from including AIM this Netscape edition was built with sidebar, integrated search, customizable themes, and privacy protection. With this edition users can operate multiple email accounts in the mail application.
